After the figure drawing session on Saturday, we went to the park and lounged in the grass. Lots of other people had the same idea. It was pretty heavenly.
On Sunday Portland Urban Sketchers met up at RiverPlace. It was a nice day, with just enough cloud cover to prevent us from getting too overheated. As expected and hoped, the riverfront was bustling, and even though I didn't sketch the abundant human and canine activity it was fun to be part of it as I sketched these river and bridge scenes. Apparently I was in a mood to play with materials since the first was sketched mostly with water-soluble graphite, the second and third are fountain pen and watercolors, and the fourth is mostly Pitt artist pens.
